Installation Timeline Guide

There came a time when the number of install orders exceeded the amount that could be installed in one week by two installers. The result was that new customers were having to be installed past the normal 5-7 day timeframe from receipt of their order. When it came to the question of how long it was going to take new customers to be installed based on the current installs scheduled and new service agreements waiting to be approved for installation, no one knew the answer.

To answer the question, I charted an installation timeline in MS Excel based on the number of installs scheduled and the number waiting to be approved. This guide was given to management, the sales department, and the technical support department. Now, management and the sales department had a means to tell new customers of when to expect their service to be installed.
